Yes I did a full CMOS reset, which partly got me into this mess. Before
the CMOS reset, escape used to get me out of the hung state and into a
shell, but since doing the reset no joy.
CTRL+D+BREAK brings it up with DFS instead of ADFS but still hangs after
the DFS line.
