I had to leave behind a 1.2M steerable dish on a house some 10 years
back .. only an old analogue system, but it was great fun watching the
news feeds traversing europe..

It was replaced by a car-boot-sale dish sat on the ground in the back
garden of the new flat, braced to a tree with cableties. Worked
surprisingly well..

We've only got a standard sky setup now, albeit with Sky+, ShyHD and a
TiVo bolted on. Not looking forward to the price rises (again!) in a
month, though, so starting to wonder if there are any alternative, but
family friendly, ways to do things. Must look into MythTV and DVB-S
cards and see if it'll integrate with the XBMC boxes I already have..
