My 2 year old Sony UX1 (which I think is still the world's smallest fully 
featured laptop) is 1024 x 600 as well. It's a definate advantage to 
carrying that around for engineering work rather than a full size with a 17" 
widescreen.

It shouldn't be emailing you you regular password back, that's not good. If 
you forget it, it should reset it, then send you the random reset version, 
then force you to change it when you next login.
