Sure, you just need a switch to change over DS0 and DS1.  That's not 
what a PC cable twist does, BTW.

What you need to do is cut the lines for DS0 (pin 10) and DS1 (pin 12) 
in the cable, insert a double-pole double-throw (DPDT) switch:

BBC end                                            drive end
                   o-------+------------------ 10 ------------- 10
10 ------------o---       |
                   o----+--)------------------ 12 --------------12
                        |  |
                   o---/   |
12 ------------o---       |
                   o-------/

The red stripe on the cable is pin 1, so 10 is the tenth wire from that 
edge.
