It's running off a big blue variable bench power supply 'borrowed'
from the school science department, with leads terminated in crocodile
clips, which fortunately clip onto the earlier Vic very easily. I
think it'll top out at about 8 amps at 9VAC, so I'm not too worried
about a shortfall in power :-D

It's an Action Replay Professional version 4.2 (I tested it the other
day). The 'good' Vic ran fine overnight, the 'dead' one actually seems
to work by swapping out the Kernal ROM with one of the other machines.
I got Vic and C64 stuff mixed together because a lot of the stuff from
this auction is just random stuff cleared out of peoples' houses, so
it's often mixed up a bit.

On the subject of tips - there are people here who are still buying
stuff from tips? First the ones in Northampton stopped me buying
electrical things (even things that run off DC) for "safety" reasons -
then the one round here did it too. I could strangle the people
responsible to death, revive them, shoot them, revive them again, then
slowly steamroller them to death. Then burn their flattened bodies
inside a ceremonial wicker man.
