I followed that thread on comp.os.cpm, and my ex-wife repeatedly
made it explicitly clear that should I die she would just heave
everything into a skip.

It's no good prosecuting somebody for destruction of property once
the property has been destroyed, it needs to be prevented in the
first place.

In 1939 $50 of groceries would fill three station wagons. Today I
can lift $50 of groceries with one hand. I must have got stronger.
