Minix 1.x definatly ran on XT class systems, I used to run it on my
Sinclair PC200, once I wrote a little shim routine for it's boot
sector that disabled the NMI of the PC200's graphics card which caused
Minix to barf.

There where of course enhanced versions that would take advantage of a
286 or 386 if you had them.

I think 2.x can also run on an XT, but 3.x requires a 386.

Cheers.

Phill.
