Subject: Econet Educational Software - NewsNet

I was just wondering really, does anyone remember or have any knowledge 
of a program called Newsnet (or possibly News Net) :)

I vaguely remember this running on our school's Econet (we only had B's 
when I was there), although it did not initially work, we managed to 
'fix' it (just some files were missing, at least most of it was in Basic 
to easy to fix)

I'm afraid I cannot remember that much about it, although I think the 
actual 'core' files (for want of a better word) were kept in a directory 
that users only had read access to, to prevent tinkering :D , so they 
had their own directories for their work. I'm sure it was designed and 
meant for Econet anyway rather than something someone had converted.

I'm not sure if this was a local educational area thing or not (in which 
case it would be Derbyshire) although I doubt it.
