I'll drop Tom W a mail, who's a terribly proficient chap in this regard.

Bottom line, it sounds like he's got faithful behaviour from the
keyboard now ... well, except that there's a limit of 5 keys
(excluding Ctrl/Shift modifiers) that can be passed over USB the way
it works atm.   The beeb probably doesn't have that issue.
