It is. I've had quite a few of the Cumana ones, and I think I still
have one somewhere with the tatty remains of its cardboard box, in my
loft or shed. They might make some kind of sense if they could be put
on top of the monitor, or underneath it if there was some kind of
stand with a shelf in it, but the cables are so short they'll only go
in one place, which I found to be incredibly annoying.

That's why they were the first to go, bundled with a load of Masters
and Model Bs I sold on eBay a while back.
