That's a real problem with the windows interface the fact that it
absolutely relies on the extension to ascociate the file, I really wish
there where a way of asociating files with no extension that match a
pattern with a program, this would really be usefull in the case of
Makefile etc.

I think the problem is that Jonathan is using an archemedes which does
not IIRC have the no extension problem that widows does, so it's not
broken as far as he is concerned.
