Subject: Windows-friendlier 65Link server
Hi,
For more details on 65Link, see John Kortink's 65Link page --
http://web.inter.nl.net/users/J.Kortink/home/software/65link/index.htm.
The server supplied in the standard Windows distribution uses up all
the CPU time it can get, and Windows's shady multitasking means that ?
particularly on a single-core machine ? the computer is unusable for
anything else as a result.
This patched version fixes that. If there's no activity for 1 second,
the server goes to sleep. When there's activity, it starts up again.
There's no noticeable difference in performance on the BBC side, and
the PC remains usable.
