Subject: Was free stuff tranch thungummy-bob...
Recently a lot of my old Acorn kit has been donated to members of this
community via a kind list member who offered to handle the distribution
as this is something that I cannot do as a pedestrian who lives many
miles away from the local post office. I've been a bit lax about
posting this second round making available the rest of everything but my
hands have been tied now so...
I have 7 cub monitors and several boxes full of BBC related books and
software including a few gems like the LoTR game in excellent condition
with book as well as a box of miscellaneous bits including a BBC and Elk
tape drive, PSUs and floppy drive PSUs available for collection by
anyone who wants it. There are also 3 big boxes full of software for
Commodore 16, C16+4, C64, Amstrad 464, Spectrum and several of the
computers that go along with them. Not tested, the computers are not
tested, guaranteed working (or clean) and stored in a loft unloved for
the last few years.
I was planning to offer all of the above to a good home for free to
whoever could collect them possibly later offering the leftovers as a
job lot on eBay before what was left was chucked in a skip.
Unfortunately someone has pre-empted me, ordered a skip and chucked the
lot in today, I'm not sure how long this skip is going to be there or
what's being piled on top so contact me off list if you're interested
and I'll tell you where this skip is. The skip is on the public highway
so technically the contents now belong to the skip firm but who cares
right? I'd rather at least some of this goes to people who could use it.
I'd like to apologise to everyone who would have wanted a share of this
kit, the leftovers would likely have been skipped fairly soon anyways
but I wanted to give the community a chance to take some of this off my
hands before then.
Regards,
Jon
