Indeed. For free emulators and such it isn't as if they stand to lose
commercially!

Um... it is coming on 30 years old - would they really be interested in
maintaining the codebase, or would it be better to have a third party
group maintain these sorts of things?

Not to mention (hopefully?) exposing some of the sources, which is quite
a lot better than working from a disassembly and leaving numerous bits
of code and page zero locations annotated as "no idea what this does" or
"I *think* this does...".
