It's irrelevent what BASIC I use(*), a startup test to determine the platform
you're running on shouldn't fall over because it's assuming that the
person running your program happens to be running the latest whiz-bang
bells'n'whistles doodad. That;s the whole point of a start-up platform
test.
(*)As it happens, BASIC 1.05 on RISC OS 3.11.
