The round trip time over a local Econet is already sufficiently slow to
make direct use of OSBGET a fairly bad idea. Obviously adding in an
Internet leg is going to make it slower but I don't think you'd be
talking about orders of magnitude.
In any case, there are buffered OSBGET/OSBPUT implementations available
for the Beeb: you can either fit an ENFS ROM or run *PUTGET, so it
probably wouldn't be a show-stopping issue in any case.
