Subject: Acorn magazine collection for free to good home
Right,
An impending housemove forces me to reassess the need to keep some of my
"collections".
Top of the list of things that should be rehomed (a list written entirely
by my wife, I might add) is my collection of Acorn magazines. Sigh - she
just doesn't understand ...
So ... these are FREE to a good home. In this instance, "good home" is
defined by me as a computer museum, an Acorn collector, or just anyone
else who appreciates the sheer AWESOME of having all the *INFOs at your
fingertips. I just don't want to see them pulped!
They're in the loft, and I don't want to get them out unnecessarily. So I
haven't photographed the collection. But, from memory, the collection
consists of:
- every Acorn User magazine
- every Micro User magazine
- every Acorn Computing magazine
- every Archive magazine
- every Beebug magazine
- every Acorn Publisher magazine
- quite a few Qercus magazines
- a substantial amount of Archimedes World magazines
- some Disc User magazines
- some A&B Computing magazines
- a boxful (might be complete) set of Dragon User magazines
... and shi-, I mean SHEDLOADS of duplicates
This collection is in Littleover, Derby (UK). Obviously I'll be very happy
if someone close to me wants them. I can drive to anywhere within a
reasonable distance of Derby.
I am in Cambridge every week, so I could possibly also deliver to there.
Some financial aid with fuel would be appreciated. Or, you're welcome to
come to me.
I warn you that I will be emotional when you come to collect them. ;(
And on a totally unrelated note: if anyone would like to make me an offer
for my complete set of Giles annuals, then give me a shout. :)
All the best,
Kris.
