Subject: Ban off-topic posts
> There's a lot of on-topic banter already, by the same group.
Because the off topic talk promoted thought among people who think along
similar lines. The off topic talk generated on topic talk about Econet
network packet sizes in relation to Ethernet and the MTU and interfacing a
BBC to a car. No matter how off topic it is, because of the place it is
being discussed there will always be the BBC somewhere in the background,
and because our minds know this, the conversation would naturally drift back
to that.
Sometimes by discussion of unrelated topics, interesting ideas can be formed
(as well as a load of bull too) - but that is the fun of discovery and
thought. There is no need though for anyone to be as rude to others as was
seen earlier. A little tolerance on all sides here please.
