There seems to be some confusion here. A *hard* reset tugs on the !RST 
line which resets the hardware to a specific known state (well, except 
for some of the 6502 flags, that is ;-) ).

This could have consequences if the reset code makes any assumptions, 
such as "let's not bother disabling VIA IRQs because that's the 
situation as of reset" (but *NOT* when running).

It isn't possible to hard reset a Beeb by commands alone.
