Exactly how often do you do that. Sounds like a very minor
inconvenience to me. Certainly not worthy of new hardware
development.
E.g. if you use GoMMC as the 'depot', it's a pretty easy
(and very fast) switchover. And you have a backup at the
same time ... ;-)
