Thanks everyone for your help locating sources of 8271s.

I guess now we know why they are rare, Beebmaster has bought them all up :-)

I see he also has other interesting items that I couldn't find previously
such as econet line drivers and cables with that elusive connector for the
beeb power supply.

I must have a trawl of the Beeb related websites more often.
