Subject: Reading/Writing PC disks on a BBC Master

Hi All,

My brother has asked me to transfer some PC software to 3.5" diskettes. At
the moment, it's on double density (360Kb?) PC diskettes. The software is
used to program Motorola walkie-talkies apparently.

I haven't had a 5.25" floppy drive on a PC for a couple of decades, but I
*do* have a BBC Master with a 5.25" drive and a 3.5" drive.

Is there any software available that will allow my BBC Master to read these
5.25" DOS disks and then write the contents to a 3.5" drive?

I've already had a look at eBay to see if I can buy a 5.25" PC drive but
they are silly money. One seller wants ?150! Also, is it possible to
change the various jumpers on a Beeb drive to allow it to work with a PC
controller and BIOS?

All suggestions welcome.

Regards,
JohnA.
