I think both Vince Briel and Grant Stockley took measures to ensure their
respective replica works should not be easily confused with the original
items. Instead of putting a hidden symbol which requires great lengths of
disassembly to detect, the marking should be clear but not disturbing about
something trying to be an exact replica. Any case of hidden markings makes
it look like the intent is to fool unknowing collectors. On a brand new
product though, I suppose hidden markings can be good to prevent /other/
parties (read: China et. al) from duplicating your works without any way to
determine which is genuine.

Best regards
