I'm not really a mushroom person. I tolerate "champignon de paris", the 
generic "grey button" mushroom that turns up in alsorts, but I tend to 
pull the shiitake out of my Japanese food (I don't much like the texture).

But, then, God knows, I'm a fussy eater!


Mom says they look like bolidus edulous (sp?) but she says don't touch 
them until you've had them identified (a pharmacy might be able to do 
this?). If in doubt... leave well alone!
