I can see what the mirroring comments are referencing. Johnson Davies has
his parting on the wrong side and the copy should flow the other way if we
were being pedantic.
Of course if we were being really picky (scrape, scrape, barrel) you might
like another brick wall.
I really think the BBC did a good job on this in recreating not just a piece
of history, but a drama. I had no idea Sinclair was so violent (although
it's not surprising and somewhat brilliant). In todays 'greed is good'
culture, would someone so quirky get the same chances to show his/her
brilliance?
You've only got to compare this to Sky to realise just what a formulaic load
of old American pants we get sold starting at ?20 a month.
Listmeister - can we perhaps add links to key sites at the foot of each mail
- I'm thinking this would support the good work of people on the group for
stuff like Beebwiki etc. and help occasional browsers like myself to get
more involved?
For example, I know there's lots of sites out there, but perhaps members
could choose a particular one for, say, troubleshooting? I have the dreaded
beep/nothing at the moment and would love a simple flowchart to follow.
I'm most of the way through the OU 'computers and processors' course and for
once I can understand what some of you are saying about the memory maps and
the early micros ;)
Keep up the good work
John

I like the comments as to "was the photo mirrored?". Um, duh! Don't look at
the position of the hands, try something subtle like, say, the brick wall...
;-)
Best wishes,
Rick.
