Subject: MSWord 2010 grrr

Hi,

You've met the problem that gives me great loathing of Word. You can imagine
my pleasure when, with Word97 I had laid out a Quality Manual running to
nearly 150 pages, and when transferring this to the client's machine, Word
said "Repaginating..." and proceeded to completely cock it up. You probably
heard me scream...
At least decent software (the likes of Ovation Pro, and probably View as
well!), you tell IT where the margins are to be, it doesn't tell you.

Best wishes,

Rick

Subject: [BBC-Micro] MSWord 2010 grrr

I tweeked the HADFS manual (http://mdfs.net/Docs/Books/HADFSMan)
last week, fixing a few typos and documenting a couple of
additional features, converted it to RTF and tidied the layout. At
work today I idly downloaded it and MSWord 2010 knackers the page
length.

MSWord 2000 at home claims it has top and bottom margins of
12mm/16mm, but MSWord 2010 at work claims it has margins of
13mm/16mm, so the contents of pages gradually creep backwards onto
preceeding pages.
