One more surprise (to whom it may concern) : at the original
6 MHz, 256-byte transfers are unreliable. Again, it simply
can't keep up. And at higher clock speeds, it can.
A rather unexpected failure if you ask me. 256-byte transfers
are used to copy the current language. So if there happened to
be a 32016 coded language ROM on the host, it would be unusable.
If you feel a need to witness this new snafu, simply :
a) Boot to Pandora's supervisor prompt.
b) '*Save Blah 8000+4000'.
What you should get is an exact copy of the (otherwise
ignored) BASIC ROM that the host hurls across the Tube,
regardless of the type of coprocessor. Well, not exactly.
The fallout from the lack of 8 MHz chipsets continues ...
