Ah yes. The MDFS bible seems to confirm that. Thanks for reminding me!

Using a SCSI ID (older style!) from the normal range 0..3, MDFS does
recognise the divice as a hard drive, showing two partitions.
Using ID 4, MDFS doesn't see the Tape drive.
