Yeah, I saw this while looking around Google for you. A couple of 
locations for the ROM, but no hint of a manual. <sorry!>

You *do* know your emails come through as giant bold sans-serif text?

<looks> 14pt Arial. Not bold, although it looks it.

Might I suggest that you click on the button on the upper-right of your 
email editor that says "Simple text"? You'd need to do this each time, 
as Yahoo! Mail! is getting progressively worse, so this seems to be no 
longer a set-it-and-forget-it option. Meh.
