Hi,
My A310 has a keyboard like that - it's like little circles of tin foil
on sponge pads under the keys. I'm sure it would be easier to clean, however...
the foil tends to tarnish (reducing conductivity), and the sponge tends
to degrade. I felt it was easier to try to patch up my dying A5000's keyboard
than to try to overhaul the A310s one - though moot these days as Beagles
and RPis take any old USB keyboard...
Best wishes,
Rick.

The Master compact uses a keyboard type similar to the Archimedes, but not
membrane, it relies on conductive pads at the end of each keytip to make the
connection onto a PCB. It doesn't use individual keyswitches. It's probably
easier to clean a Compact keyboard than any of the others, as you just
remove the PCB from the back and clean all the contacts in one go.
Mark.

Are you going to include the keyswitches used in the Master Compact?
They have a significantly different feel to them, though I've never
dismantled one to check. One of my Compacts is playing up a bit on one
of the keys so when I get around to taking it apart and
cleaning/whatever it I'll take some photos.
