Subject: General Purpose Interface System

Second try with correct e-mail address, sorry.

Dear All,

I just wondered whether anyone had any knowledge of this product which
was designed to interface to the BBC Micro, Commodore 64 and Apple
II/IIe/III.

I have this item. It is in a strong and heavy, nice-looking brown and
tan steel enclosure, size 15" x 8.5" x 3". The unit is mains-powered
with on/off switch on the front with three LED's.

General Purpose Interface System
3D Digital Design and Development Limited
01-387-7388

It provides 8 analogue inputs and 4 analogue outputs via front-mounted
BNC sockets as well as a number of digital inputs and outputs via a pair
of front-mounted 15-way D connectors.

The interface to the computer is via a 25-way D socket on the back but
I have no connecting leads. I guess that different leads were supplied
depending upon which computer it was connected to.

Just wondered whether anyone had seen this device before and had access
to any documentation for said item. It came to me with a job lot of
BBC B's that I recovered from a nearby college when they had finished
with them many years ago.

I guess that some readers might have used this device at school so any
information would be most welcome.

With thanks,
Kim
