Subject: Hybrid Music 4000 keyboard

Following Ian's email from a little earlier, and on the understanding that 
his request takes precedence (on the basis that he got there first!), may
I also mention my interest in a Music 4000 keyboard, on the improbably slight
chance that there happen to be two unwanted ones in Dorset....


I have one, and though I am not interested in parting with it, when I serviced 
it, I saw it was a very simple device. I could trace out the circuit, if 
you wanted to build one. As I recall, it's a simple scanning keyboard device
with very little inside the case apart form the key mech. I think one of
those cheap home keyboards could be recycled into one.

On this topic, does anyone have the 'expander' version of the Music 5000, 
(it allowed you to  put 2 synth units on the 1MHz bus). Not sure how heavily
it loaded the machine, but I would love to see what addresses they used,
then I could make my spare '500 into a second synth.
