Have you tried VDU 2:PRINT "Hello":VDU 1,10:P."World":VDU 3 If that 
works, you just need to tell the BBC to not ignore CHR$10 with *FX6,0. 
The BBC defaults to *FX6,10 to ignore LineFeeds.
