Subject: Serial console active at power on?

Thanks for the suggestion but the system will work as an embedded controller, 
hence no filing system and I am not starting using an SD card for this. In
the end I am just after a docile slave to move some bits around at +5V, now
I have only to find the article: "build your own beeb ROM in ten minutes".
