Subject: Acorn System ROMs
I am likely to have the system 4 stuff. Fileserver code, SBASIC (aka
BBCBasic 1) and ATBASIC (atom basic). I also have a hand edited disk with
both the System DOS boot partition and an empty FS partition, so you can
boot the server from the fs disks like the MDFS did.
Unfortunately the ROM on the CPU card is too small for any rom programmer I
have to read and my System 4 currently does not boot. Which leads me to
suspect bit rot in the rom any way.
I too would be interested if anybody has clean good rom images, but if they
don't then I will work out a way to provide what I do have. I have a shoe
box of System 4 cards in various states of disrepair so if I can read the
roms by making an adaptor I should be able to extract two or three images.
My System 4 is the double height Eurocard box with dual MPI floppy disks in
the top half and the card slots in the bottom half. This was a common
format sold in Australia around about 1983. Really I am only keeping it so
I can hear those floppy drives work again.
The other thing that I am on the lookout for is the PAL/GAL fuse map for the
EO1. It too no longer boots, and I did try freshly blown ROMS in it to no
avail.

Ah, I wonder if that vanished into my email outage. I'll have to have a dig
around.
