Thanks JG... looks like up 10 jumpers need checking.

I didn't see any loose wires, let's hope it's not a dry joint, not my
speciality!

There's a quite good hi-res photo of a B+ mother board at 8BS:

It has some flying leads which could be the connection that yours has lost.
