I've just had a quick fiddle around with EDWORD 2 and like you I can't
quite remember what the differences were. It did bring back memories
typing away.
A bit of fiddling reveals that EDWORD 2 has a built-in FX80 printer
driver, the Format page displays an estimate of how much memory is left,
and pressing Break recovers the stored text and re-enters editing
mode/menu mode as appropriate. I can't remember what editing changes
there were.
I thought that EDWORD 2 worked correctly on the CoPro where EDWORD 1
didn't, but in trying it won't get past the main menu. That reminds me
of the main annoyance with EDWORD, when an error occurs it just beeps
and doesn't tell you what the error actually is. That and the inability
to do * commands.
Ah ha. With the CoPro on you are only allowed to edit a document created
when the CoPro is on. This reminds me of one of the first *commands I
wrote to change a file's load/exec address so EDWORD would load a file
created by a different version. (exec=FFFB, EDWORD 2/CoPro; exec=FFFC,
EDWORD 2/IO; exec=FFFE, EDWORD 1)

I have a !EFP printer file, but not the utilities that created it. :(
