Thanks both, so that works, but it doesn't half churn the floppy drive...
I'm assuming though that it's running entirely on the IO processor.

It really is weird though. Copies fine from DFS to ADFS (arguably the same
file layout as NFS), other rif files behave, you just can't copy Copy-rif
if the -rif directory already exists on NFS. Sorry, repeating myself there
in the hope something jumps out at me, but there doesn't seem to be
anything obvious, and logical, to pin it on.
