Subject: Philips VP415, laserdisc player from Doomsday system.

Hi All,
Anybody on here worked on these ?
Prompted by finding out that there is a Nicad battery in these that can leak
and corrode the pcb, i dug mine out of storage.
Luckily the battery is fine and even seems to take a charge.
I checked the electrolytic caps in the psu and replaced those on the secondary
as one was leaky.
Also replaced the X2 cap.

The player powers up but does not spin the disc.
The remote light flashes in response to the remote and it attempts to go
in and out of standby.
But coming out of standby, the standby light just keeps flashing.
Also, trying to eject the disc (one has been inside it for years) the eject
light keeps flashing but nothing else happens.

I?ve got the service manuals but just thought i?d mention it here before
i take it apart further.
