As it happens, a few weeks back I dug out my old M4000 with the intention
of doing the opposite (turning it into a MIDI keyboard). Using a Raspberry
Pi I've got it sending MIDI commands over RTP MIDI to a PC; next step is to
use a Pi Zero* as a USB gadget to make a USB device.

* Yes, some sort of microcontroller would probably be better, but I have a
Zero lying around
