Subject: Seeking Econet Micro Guide book

HI Mark,

I don't have that particular book, but I do have various User Guides,
Advanced UGs, Installation Guides etc, gleaned, I believe, from Stairway
to Hell, or possibly the BBC Documentation Project. Try here:
http://www.8bs.com/othrdnld/manuals/econet.shtml snd PM me if you need more.

I know what it is to have available to you a book you are already
familiar with, but in the case of Econet, you should find all the
information you need from these sources. Make sure you consult the
relevant guide for the version of Econet that you are using -- it did
develop quite a lot during its lifetime and later guides are needed for
later iterations.

I recall getting an flyer from a company (whose name I have forgotten)
sent to my school advertising a whole list of Econet utilities. I set
myself the challenge of writing my own version of each of them, and got
quite a long way down the list. It was great fun. I even used some of
them in my classroom work -- though as a teacher at the time I
definitely disapproved of pupils raising hell on the net. It just cost
me time sorting it out (and closing any loopholes!)

Andrew
