Yes, there is a program called XMODEM.FOR (requiring another file called
QIO.DCK) which runs nicely under VAX VMS (I have it up and running locally).
It does not have all of the features of UC, but it DOES provide the MODEM2
protocol and VMS-to-CP/M text file conversion.  The programs (XMODEM and other
helpful utilities) are on SIMTEL20.  Drop me a line if you need more help
(no quick reply guaranteed at this time, tho).
