Subject: (mis)feature in cp/m+
i have found that cpm allows access to any file in user 0 which has
the sys attribute but if you are in any user location OTHER than 0
then the file is given the attribute of r/o. to me this seems a nasty
feature in that it forces you to use user 0 for much work where
there is a common file which is to be read as well as written...
this is a problem in using mince from other user areas... i.e. it
won't work since cp/m+ in its (in)finite wisdom crashes your program
with a r/o error on file MINCE.SWP... i'm looking into patching mince
so that it handles user 0 for the swap but anybody have any ideas
or similar probs?
thanks,
