Numerical Computation and Mathematical Software
For Microcomputers
On March 19-21, the ACM Special Interest Group on Numerical
Mathematics (SIGNUM) will sponsor a conference on Numerical
Computation and Mathematical Software For Microcomputers. The
conference will be held at the Hilton Harvest House Hotel in Boulder,
Colorado. Registration will be limited to approximately 250
applicants.
Invited Papers
Invited speakers include P. W. Gaffney (Oak Ridge), "FORTRAN
Compilers for Microcomputers;" W. M. Gentleman (National Research
Council), "MIMD Architecture using Microcomputers;" G. A. Hamlin (Los
Alamos), "Graphics on Microcomputers;" J. Siebenaler (Motorola),
"Strategy and Testing of Floating-Point Coprocessors;" R. F. Sincovec
(U. Colorado, Colorado Springs), "Using Modula-2 and Ada for
Numerical Computations on Microcomputers;" and J. Wooten (Los
Alamos), "Use of Microcomputers in a Scientific and Engineering
Workstation Environment."
Special Sessions
There will be special sessions of 30-minute talks on
Microcomputers in Parallel Architectures and on Mathematical Software
for Microcomputers.
Vendor Exhibits
There will be an exhibit of computers and software during the
meeting. Vendors will make 30-minute oral presentations during
special evening sessions.

One-page astracts for 20-minute contributed talks should be
submitted immediately to:
