Subject:  CASE RIXON MODEM SET-UP GUIDE(TO PREVENT ANY COLD-CUTS)

THE FOLLOWING IS A GUIDE OF TABLE SETTINGS THAT YOU CAN USE FOR THE
SET-UP OF YOUR RIXON 212A MODEM IF YOU OWN ONE TO HELP YOU FROM HANGING
UP THE I/O(WHICH IS REALLY EASY IN THESE THINGS AS YOU WILL SEE)


 As obvious as it may seem,Please be sure to check that all cables and
wires are functioning and secure as 9 times out of ten a faulty Modem
pre-sets the registers if power cycles on/off intermittently. To wake up
the Modem type a carriage return <CR> twice and you are greeted with the
start up prompt:

     RIXON 212A INTELLIGENT MODEM V 4.0
      ON LINE

      $

(or a facsimile there of)

below is a list of factory pre-set options that come set-up for you

          9-DIAL (A/T/P)                A
          A-ONLINE MESSAGE (Y/N)        Y

NOTE:  No. 8 may or may not appear on the menu.

"Now enter a Zero (0) to exit"

Clearing (SC) Command:  at $ prompt,type in <SC>,The following will
appear,

          Log Character
          Start Logon
          End Logon
          Secure On
          Secure Off
          Dataswitch
          Return Key
          Control Character with

          CLR (Y/N)

Enter <Y> (DO NOT HIT A CARRIAGE RETURN)

After entering Y in response to clear,use the **Space bar** only to
enter the Rixon log characters,simply hit the spacebar untilthe $ prompt
reappears

Clearing dialing directory registers.

ALWAYS RECORD YOUR NUMBERS ON PAPER PRIOR TO DOING THIS!!!!

At $ prompt,type <C>.When CLR (Y/N) appears,enter Y.  You may now
reenter your numbers


At this point you have cleared all registers and set the right options
for your wonderful CASE-RIXON 212A (HUZZA-HUZZA)
