Subject: Re: Software for DEC VT180 Robin

There is a wealth of public domain software available for the
Robin and Rainbow systems on the public access DEC MARKET system,
running TOPS-20.

Dial 1200 baud, 8N parity, phone 617-467-7437

login at the "@" system prompt with

LOG LCG.KERMIT KERMIT where the second "Kermit" is a noecho password.

Carefully take notes, or have ^P turned on for the first screen,
which shows how to get further help, and describes how to transfer
files using KERMIT. XMODEM is not available as a downloading
protocol, but MODEM/XMODEM sources are available.

Type out the AREAS.TXT help file for pointers to all the logical
storage areas.

There is also the "Robin Owner's Group" or ROG, which publishes a
newsletter on a roughly quarterly basis.

Don't be discouraged - there's a lot of good software out there for
the Robin - you just have to look around a bit for it.

Enjoy -
