Yes.

The symptoms you described at first (Acorn MOS, Acorn ADFS, hanging) are
typical when the CMOS battery has failed.

they all have the sockets, but for econet to work,  the internal
daughterboard has to be fitted.  open the machine and look - it plugs
into two sockets in the top right corner of the board.

then you need cabling, a clock box, terminators...
