Subject: Re: The importance of GoMMC

Only three people have mentioned that they rather have this taken off
the list. I'm sure there are far more than perhaps ten on the list
nonetheless, this isn't a pet peeve - it's about all our ability to do
what we can to move the trustee machine into the 21st Century. I
cannot take this off the list because there is no other list, and this
is a BBC list.

I agree that we can only bother John so much on this matter. I am not
badgering others on the list, but I just think maybe we should debate
on how those of us who have the board and are using the support forum
no problem, can actually help those of us who haven't. It's certainly
what I would do. There are perhaps some who can derive schematics form
simply looking at the board then making a diagram, then publish it
on-line for others to reproduce - those who are on the GoMMC list can
forward what goes on in the scene to this list. Also, some can try to
produce improved variants of GoMMC code - the potential for this is
endless. Maybe John would let more of us on the list once we actually
have the boards however, if this really is a not-for-profit venture.
It would be such a wasted opportunity if we didn't share out what we
have and it would strangle the market. What kind of enthusiasts would
we be then? Think about it.

Fiaz.
