that's useful too :)  I'm just pondering options for driving SASI
devices from a PC parallel port (if possible) in order to back up drives
on some of my classic systems - so I'm just looking at the different
interfaces out there at the moment to see how they did it.

Main issue is the lack of signal lines on a parallel port - only three
outputs for control and five inputs (ignoring the 8 bit data bus). I'm
hoping with SASI there are enough signal lines to avoid messing around
with clocking stuff into registers a few bits at a time! (ISTR looking
at this for SCSI a while back and there aren't quite enough lines
present to make a simple interface)
