Why do you ask me ask me to make you an offer, John, for friend-
ship ?

Some people might think you are asking for a bribe in exchange for
friendship. Would you feel comfortable if such a condition was put
to you ?

Is this the real you "being calm and factual" again ? Should I really
put myself in the position of possibly waching my money once
again being tossed away ?

You would appear more genuine if you removed the "condition of
friendship" of me having to offer you something. How about it?
